Christmas, 2012

Here are just a few pictures from Anna’s first Christmas: Christmas, 2012 Album . We stayed with Anna’s Grandma and Grandpa Parrott in Iowa for a few days over the holiday, and then visited G&G Ryan the following weekend. We also got to spend a lot of time with Jon and Rae who drove in all the way from New Jersey.

Anna had a really good time on both trips, and did very well with being away from home. She’s been sleeping and eating a lot lately, which makes us wonder if she’s in another growth spurt. She has also finally started growing her first tooth!

Anna will turn one year old in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned for pictures of cake.

Crawling 101 & New Pictures

Anna is taking the longest nap of her life (three hours and counting), which gives me plenty of time to finally get these pictures online.

Also, I got lucky and captured Anna’s best crawling yet this morning. Anna is officially on the move:

New Photos of Anna’s Second Month

In the last couple of weeks Anna has met her Great Grandparents on my side, and spent lots of time being cute around the house. It is really great that Anna has gotten to meet all seven of her Great Grandparents now! I think she made a good impression on all of them.

We posted a bunch of new pictures to the Month 2 Gallery: Anna Month 2

Anna has been doing very well lately. She has slept pretty well for the last week or two, and is showing signs of going longer between feedings. We’re also convinced that she is just about to start smiling any day now. She is using her hands more, occasionally grabbing her blanket or Maria’s hair. But for the most part she is still content to stare at the ceiling.

2.6 Anna Pictures

Anna got to meet some of her great grandparents last weekend, and we took a lot of pictures. Over the next couple of weekends, Anna will get to meet her great grandparents on my side of the family as well!

We also had some shots from around the house that we wanted to get up, so I put them all together in a new gallery here: Anna Week 3

Things have been going pretty well for the past few days – Maria and I have been getting a lot more comfortable doing things with Anna, which is fun. We took her out to lunch with the Burke / Parrott family last weekend, and Maria just took her to the mall to buy some new baby clothes. There have been a couple of Mommy/Daughter outings like that which have all gone well.

More Pictures, Less Sleep

Anna hasn’t been sleeping quite as well the last couple of days, but Maria and I are powering through a couple of rougher evenings with the help of Anna’s grandparents and some good old fashioned Buffy the Vampire Slayer. We are adding new options every day to our arsenal of ways to get Anna asleep. We have a couple of new ones that we have just started using, so hopefully tonight we can use them to good effect.

Thanks to everyone for all of the lovely cards and gifts and well wishes. It really helps keep our spirits up around here!

We put a bunch of new pictures up here: Anna Week 2

More Anna Albums

Thanks for all of the congratulations, everyone! Anna is now almost four days old, and she is doing great. We’re starting to get a little bit of a rhythm going as a household, I think, with big thanks to Anna’s Grandparents (both Parrott and Ryan) for giving us a couple of nap breaks. I’ve just created two new albums of Anna pictures:

Anna and Friends – pictures of Anna with her visitors thus far.

Anna’s First Days – more shots of Anna just hanging around with Maria and I. As a bonus, this album also contains a couple of videos of Anna hiccuping and making faces.

I’m thinking I will just keep adding more photos to these albums in the coming days. There is some way to subscribe to these albums via RSS, but I cannot figure it out just yet. If anyone can find the RSS URLs for these albums, let me know and I’ll share them here!

We’re taking Anna in for her first doctors visit this morning (first since leaving the hospital, that is). They want to check her bilirubin levels again, and I’m sure they’ll weigh her and so forth. It’s our first trip requiring a diaper bag, so wish us luck!
