Maria’s 12-week ultrasound was part of a screening for a few genetic disorders. The ultrasound portion of the screening came back with good results, and we’ll hear the results of a blood test next week.
Nubs was very active during this ultrasound, bouncing all over the place and stretching out the new legs and arms. The doctor had a hard time getting the angle that she needed, so we got to watch Nubs for quite a while.
These shots include a couple of those creepy 3D shots. Please don’t be afraid, we are confident Nubs will be human when the time comes.

As you can see from the labels on the ultrasounds, there are at least two shots of Lil’ Nubs’ fists. My theory is that Nubs was shaking his fist at us in a “keep it down out there, you adults” kind of way.
We also saw inside the brain.
Oh my gosh! Maria, we can’t wait to see you all, as we are blown away by how wonderful you look! And, what a beautiful, active baby! Dave, don’t want to leave you out, but I’m assuming you have not gained any weight–you likely look as handsome as ever!
Everyone looks great! But if they can look inside the brain and show the nubs, what about the naughty bit? Which kind?!
Nope, no naughty bits yet. We’re told that week 20 is when you may be able to tell.
